From The Owner on Her Vision & Goal for HomeGrown Design:
I've opened a small business that is an interior design & professional organization that will focus on our veteran community outreach and improving the quality of life for our veterans.
I'm operating out of my own funds to get some momentum for my business and to bring an end to homelessness amongst our veteran community. By fulfilling this need for a space for others to call their own with my creative touch & inner drive, it is my hope to use a .07 percent of my yearly earnings and put it towards a new veteran program or veteran community in the Hampton Roads Area. It is essential for our veterans to be taken care of throughout their life as they volunteered their very own grit, patriotic love, and desire to see our future children create a new beginning in our history books. Where giving back to your immediate community is being the change you desire to see in your own life and world. It starts here: The foundation of America's great landscape of opportunity for all.
We deserve a program that will be held accountable to our veterans. My business philosophy is this: America's future in a successful economy is one that changes with our ever-changing resources. A global redesign is imminent due to the advancements in technology and free guides to DIY projects, and Ivy League scholars freely teach on any one subject through Open Source. But we must not confuse our global resources with that of of what we can do right now.
Local communities is how and when our global future happens. Where we, the business owner, the veteran, the doctor, the artist, the priest, and the blue-collar worker and everyone fallen in and outside of the American dream share in our hope to create a beautiful future for our grandchildren to serve and their children, without the worry of being homeless after their service. We owe it to them. Join our Hope for a global future.
In one hope and design,
Joy 'Nash' DiVelbiss
